On 28 January, Univention will host their annual summit online. This year’s focus is on digital sovereignty for the education sector, governments and companies, and will place emphasis on a variety of open source projects that are encouraging digital sovereignty in these domains.

Univention Summit Open Source Week

Univention creates open source products for the operation and management of IT infrastructures and the management of digital identities. Aside from this, they are a proponent of open source and an active member of the open source community, collaborating with the Free Software Foundation Europe, the Swiss Open Systems User Group, and the Open Source Business Alliance.

Univention is hosting a virtual summit focussed on the topic of digital sovereignty, with the aim of highlighting various open source software solutions contributing to this principle. Presentations on the day will address a variety of topics, as follows:

  • Digital collaboration
  • Open source in schools
  • Digital sovereignty in public administration
  • The future of open technologies in Europe

The events will take place in a mixture of English and German.

Online registration is compulsory and there is a ticketing fee of EUR 30.
